1. Hotel Cancellation Policies
Each hotel on HotelsPaddie sets its own cancellation policy. The applicable policy is clearly displayed on the hotel listing page and during checkout before you confirm your booking. There are three standard policy types:
Flexible Policy
- Cancel up to 24 hours before check-in for a full refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours of check-in: no refund
- No-shows are treated as cancellations within 24 hours
Moderate Policy
- Cancel up to 5 days before check-in for a full refund
- Cancel between 1-5 days before check-in: 50% refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours of check-in: no refund
- No-shows: no refund
Strict Policy
- Cancel up to 7 days before check-in for a 50% refund
- Cancellations within 7 days of check-in: no refund
- No-shows: no refund
2. How to Cancel a Booking
To cancel a booking:
- Log in to your HotelsPaddie account
- Go to My Account → Bookings
- Find the booking you wish to cancel
- Click "Cancel booking"
- Confirm the cancellation — you will see the refund amount before confirming
- You will receive a cancellation confirmation email
Cancellations can only be made through the platform. We do not accept cancellations by phone or email.
3. Refund Processing
Where a refund is due:
- Refunds are processed back to your original payment method (debit card, bank transfer)
- Processing time: 5-10 business days depending on your bank
- Refunds are issued in Nigerian Naira (₦)
- The HotelsPaddie platform commission (typically 8%) is non-refundable on partial cancellations
- You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed
4. Modifications to Bookings
To change your booking dates or number of guests:
- Contact the hotel directly via the contact details in your booking confirmation
- Modifications are subject to availability and the hotel's approval
- Price differences will be charged or refunded accordingly
- If your preferred dates are unavailable, you may need to cancel and rebook
5. Early Check-out
If you check out earlier than your booked check-out date, refunds for unused nights are at the hotel's discretion. HotelsPaddie does not guarantee refunds for early departures. We recommend discussing this directly with the hotel at check-in if you anticipate an early departure.
6. Force Majeure
In exceptional circumstances beyond your control (natural disasters, government travel restrictions, etc.), we will work with you and the hotel to find a fair resolution. Please contact our support team at support@hotelspaddie.com as soon as possible in such situations.
7. Hotel-Initiated Cancellations
If a hotel cancels your confirmed booking:
- You will receive a full refund regardless of the cancellation policy
- We will assist you in finding alternative accommodation where possible
- HotelsPaddie will contact you immediately by email and SMS
- The hotel partner may face penalties under their partner agreement
8. Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly calculated or not received within the expected timeframe, please contact us at support@hotelspaddie.com with your booking reference. We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days.
